Spa etiquette

Spa etiquette is simple to follow and will not only improve the quality of other spa guests’ experiences, but also your own.

Spa etiquette is not merely a matter of being polite and considerate of others. It is also a tool to help you enjoy a better spa experience.

Proper etiquette will allow you to detach from the pressures of every day life. Detaching then provides permission to embrace a few moments of well earned relaxation without guilt. Used wisely, this opportunity will recharge your attitude and enhance your personal perspectives!

Spa etiquette guideline

As a spa etiquette guideline, keep the following suggestions in mind. You may be surprised to discover that your spa visit provided more than than just a treatment…

  ♦ no smoking;

  ♦ no cell phones (put it on silent and put it away);

  ♦ no gum chewing (the action activates the digestive system and creates distractions while trying to relax);

  ♦ if talking, maintain a low, soft “spa” voice, especially in community areas;

  ♦ be polite and appreciative to the staff;

  ♦ be respectful when sharing common space with others; and

  ♦ if the facility provides bins for robes and towels after use, please use them and pick up after yourself.

spa etiquette for relaxation

It is not complicated to apply these simple suggestions for spa etiquette. In addition, please be aware of any additional spa rules. Be respectful of the quiet serenity provided in your surroundings and understand that all clients are there to relax.

Practicing the above suggestions will provide a more relaxed, rejuvenating experience for yourself as well as others. Check your problems at the door and don’t look back. Enjoy yourself; relax and unwind.

After all, you deserve it!
