These health centers are a fairly new type of therapeutic location. They are more or less a combination of a day spa and holistic healing clinic, although some may also incorporate a salon into their setting.

In general, a wellness center is geared toward healing first. Although relaxing therapies that provide personal indulgence are also available, the environment is generally geared toward therapeutic services.
That said, the more common treatments available at these centers do tend to be more therapeutic. However, you may find hair, nail and other beauty services on the menu along with the other treatments.
Many of these spas also offer opportunities for addiction counseling, nutrition guidance, detox programs, yoga and meditation classes, acupuncture, colon hydrotherapy, lymphatic massage, chiropractic services and psychotherapy.
Certain wellness centers may also be used as rehab facilities, in addition to providing services to clients who come in for just one or two treatments.
Check with your local wellness centers and rehab facilities if any of the above interests you. Its quite possible you will be able to find multiple services to meet your needs all under the same roof!
